MobiCon, Mobile Alabama's multi-genre SF and comic convention was held on Labor Day Weekend, 24-28 May 2018 at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel. Unlike last year, the weather was excellent and we weren't menaced by any tropical storms (see last year). Again the hotel staff were excellent and the MobiCon staff pulled off a fine convention. There seemed to be a reduced attendance from last year, but this was offset by the huge percentage of attendees in costume. Of course, I only attended on Saturday, so my count might be off.Michael W. Moses, my staff photographer took most of these photos and he did all the post-production work. Attendees at MobiCon may note that some of the photographic backgrounds have been added and were not part of the hotel itself. As usual, Mr. Moses photographed as many costumed attendees we could coral, uh induce into being photographed. For those we may have missed, we hope to catch you next year. Our regrets as being so slow in posting these images as we had to attend another gathering soon after and so we were swamped. We'll have Part II up in a few more days.
